A duplex is treated as single family, as is a townhome or townhouse, not as multifamily. You must show compliance based upon each dwelling unit so a model for each unit must be developed, with separate reports. Any surfaces between the units should be modeled as Interior surfaces, just do not enter the Adjacent to setting for the space it is next to.
